Retently vs Review Tui comparison

There are many customer feedback platforms available on the market today and Retently is one of the market leaders. In this article, we’re going to explore some of the main differences between Retently and Review Tui so that you can decide which one is the right fit for you.

And don’t worry, just because this article is a comparison of us, it will still be objective. Review Tui is a great platform, but we know it’s not a good fit for every business, so it’s important for us to be transparent. We don’t want to attract someone to our platform if they aren’t the right fit which is why we choose to give clear, honest and helpful advice so that you can make an informed decision.

So let's get started. How do the platforms differ, and which one is suited to you?

What is Retently?

Retently free 7-day trial

Unfortunately, there isn’t a free option for joining Retently, but there is a free 7-day trial. If you aren’t ready to commit to the full subscription, you can use the trial to see for yourself if it’s a good fit for you.

The trial gives you a chance to trial whichever pricing plan you are interested in as well as all the standard inclusion features. These include NPS, CSAT, CES, and 5-star metrics, multi-channel surveys, feedback management, email & Slack alerts and free data migration.

There are 4 different pricing options with the cheapest starting at $44USD per month. Depending on which plan you choose, you can get advanced reporting, CRM integration, campaign automation and more. If you are interested in any of the plans, the free trial gives you one week to experience them first-hand before investing.

Main differences between Retently and Review Tui

Metrics and scoring

The most important difference between these two platforms is the scoring metrics they emphasise. Retently focuses mostly on Net Promoter Scores (NPS) while Review Tui uses its own formula

Review Tui uses Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) and Customer Effort Scores (CES) to track customer experience because they are targeted and relevant. So if you want to use NPS, Retently is a better option for you.

NPS has been a popular metric for 20 years but recently, many businesses have found it to be increasingly vague. If you aren’t sure which metric to use to track customer experience (CX), we recommend looking into your options for a full comparison.

Currently, Retently offers 36 integrations including Salesforce, Zendesk and Shopify while at present, Review Tui only integrates with Hubspot. Review Tui will have more integrations soon, but until then, surveys can be sent out using campaign links.

If your business isn’t using Hubspot and you need full integration, Retently is likely to be a better fit for you. You can see the full list of Retently integrations here to see if it will suit your existing CRM.

Online reviews

Another key difference between the two platforms is that Review Tui focuses on generating more online reviews, whereas Retently predominantly uses internal NPS scoring. If you’re wanting to make improvements to your business’s internal processes, an NPS score with Retently can help you to get there. However, an NPS score only asks how likely a customer is to recommend your business to someone else, it doesn’t reflect a real intention to do so.

On the other hand, Review Tui uses CSAT and CES scores internally coupled with automated requests to encourage customers to leave online reviews. These reviews are public and influence prospective customers to invest in your business so if you want to make the most of reviews on platforms like Google and Facebook, Review Tui is the best option.

At Retently, there is no free access and the lowest pricing plan has some limitations. However, for some businesses, the high cost of Retently will be worth it for the premium software it offers. For example, if you want surveys with multiple languages, antivirus protection and integrations with multiple tools, paying for the higher pricing plan could be worthwhile.

Review Tui, however, offers free access and will be launching new invite-only access to our paid platform later this year. If you aren’t sure about customer feedback management but would like to try it, a free platform like the one offered by Review Tui is a great place to start.

Who are these platforms best suited to?

The most significant difference between the two platforms is who their intended audiences are. Retently is targeted at large, global companies while Review Tui is designed for small to medium-scale businesses.

Larger companies tend to require more intensive and wide-ranging customer feedback management to track their large customer base. On the other hand, smaller businesses generally only need a few simple tools to check in with their customers and stay informed.

That’s why at Review Tui we allow customers to build custom links to share anywhere. No matter where their customers are, businesses can stay up-to-date without being locked into a certain channel or system. For example, you might prefer face-to-face interactions today but use Facebook Messenger tomorrow so it’s a good idea to be adaptable.

Smaller brands need the be flexible and adaptable, and Review Tui was designed with that in mind. Smaller businesses are constantly evolving so to help businesses harness the full potential of customer feedback, Review Tui offers all the necessary tools without the burden of committing to an expensive subscription.

However, we also recognized that some businesses will require more as they continue to grow so our Pro version gives you even more freedom to create surveys that meet your needs. Our free version will still offer the basics, but Pro will provide AI-powered solutions, in-depth reporting and more market-leading tools for those who need them.

Whether you want to try the free version or be first in line for Pro, you can sign up for updates and we’ll keep you posted. Until then, you can use our free tools and helpful guide to implement a customer feedback strategy today.
